Another Good Read from the Sylvester-Worth County Chamber of Commerce

I was reading recently over some materials that mother picked up at the Sylvester-Worth County Chamber of Commerce. If you need to know anything, I can promise you it is there or Mrs. Karen and Mrs. Denise can point you in the right direction. But anyway, mother picked up all kinds of reading material. One happened to be on Kiwanis. I knew about Kiwanis and had heard many things on their organization however I didn’t realize what all Kiwanis does. I want to share some of that with you. They have a few catchy phrases that got my attention. One was “A desire to serve. A place to connect. Join the club.” That saying describes many people that I know. There are so many that have a true desire to serve and help others. Another phrase that caught my attention was “A sense of community, a source of fulfillment.” At your local Kiwanis club, members enjoy the company of friends who share their passion for service while exploring opportunities for leadership, networking and more. Kiwanis club members get together to improve lives and serve communities. As a Kiwanian, you can expect fun and fellowship, Education and networking, Service projects and activities, Leadership opportunities, Recognition and personal growth and visibility in your community. There are so many ways to change lives through Kiwanis. Becoming a part of young lives is very important. Kiwanis clubs sponsor Service Leadership Programs. These Kiwanis-family organizations allow kids and young adults to serve their communities and develop leadership skills. Led by students and guided by adults, Kiwanis youth programs include: Kiwanis Kids, Terrific Kids, Bring up Grades, Builders Club, Key Club, Key Leader and Circle K International. Founded in 1915, the Kiwanis family now included nearly 600,000 members of all ages, more than 15,000 clubs for adults and youth and a presence in 80 nations and geographic areas. If this sounds like something that you want to be a part of and have the opportunity to change young lives, please contact Karen Rackley at the Sylvester-Worth County Chamber of Commerce or any Kiwanis member for more details.
